Welcome to Edgewater, We're Ready for You

Belltower at Entrance to EdgewaterWork is only minutes away in Edgewater and one of the nation's premier attractions is even closer - the great big blue Gulf water is within easy reach. It's not a dream, but reality with our master-planned community in Webster.

The new home community is uniquely positioned on NASA Road 1, the main thoroughfare leading to the Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston. Our community entrance is not far from the NASA Parkway Bypass, a 2.7- mile connector between Interstate 45 and NASA Road 1 that sidesteps the heavy congestion found at Interstate 45.

"I would say the bypass is the most significant project in this region since NASA came to the Bay Area," said Bob Douglas, general manager of Edgewater. "The bypass has definitely stimulated retail and commercial growth in Webster and is a major catalyst in the development of Edgewater."Directional Map to Edgewater

Also located near Edgewater is the Christus St. John Hospital, affiliated with The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, affiliated with Hospital Corporation of America; and a future site of The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).

"Just minutes from Interstate 45 and some of the Bay Area's major employers, Edgewater offers a premier location," Douglas said.

Edgewater is a 538-acre, mixed-use destination redevelopment project and the community is home to 35 acres of public park lands and wetlands. A grand entrance with a bell tower monument and surrounding pools and fountains welcome visitors to Edgewater.

Edgewater is a development of The Johnson Development Corp. and Cherokee Investment Partners. The City of Webster and the developers received the 2006 International Economic Development Council's Public-Private Partnership Award for the Edgewater project. Also there is commercial acreage available just beyond the entrance.
